Great, we get to hear about all the lag from the PvP community. I do have to wonder what would the PvP's do if ANET had three PvE weekends in a row.

As a PvE only I think we have to realize that ANET never wanted such a strong PvE community and seems to still try to force (I mean encourage) us to switch to PvP. I say let the PvP's work on their titles.

I will still enjoy the weekend, might run a few dungeons (need the gold, got a craving for more armor).

ANet, and apparently you as well, doesn't seem to realize that just because there are a bunch of NPCs thrown in to kill as well, players killing players = PvP.

It may not be high end PvP, but it is PvP nonetheless.

i think by most serious players' defintions, pvp is something that requires organization and not taking any crappy build at the top of ur head and using it to a somewhat successful degree because an organized team is needed (which narrows it down to gvg,ha,ta cuz let's face it, ra,ab, and jade quarry are a joke). having other players atk each other does not necessarily merit the activity as actual pvp (thats called ganking or pk'ing).

If you think it's PvP, you're a PvEr, and wouldn't know. Just because there's other players doesn't make it PvP, it makes it competitive PvE.

PvP is the general term encompassing all player versus player activities. Ganking and PKing are done in areas where PvP combat is possible.

Different thresholds, different meanings.

PvP = Player versus Player, a.k.a. interaction between two live players involving combat, competition or skill.

JQ and FA are simply laidback PvP. Just because they aren't BuildWars doesn't mean they don't involve player combat or competition.

Before the flames start, note that I don't consider JQ, FA or RA immersive PvP content, however by definition they are still casual PvP environments.
